Brian Johnson, well known as ‘The Liver King,’ is out of jail after making threats to Joe Rogan in a series of strange videos. On June 26, 2025, it was revealed that Johnson bonded out of jail for $20,000. As part of the terms for his release, Johnson must have mental health supervision and take part in a mental health evaluation within one week of his arrest.
Liver King was booked into the Travis County Correctional Complex in Texas after making terroristic threats to Joe Rogan. In a series of previous Instagram posts, Johnson made it clear he wanted to fight the popular podcast host. Footage also showed Johnson holding a metal file moments before his arrest.
Liver King initially claimed he built his physique naturally, until his steroid cycle leaked to the public. In an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan refuted Johnson’s claim and suggested that he was full of steroids. Despite serving jail time, Liver King hasn’t stopped threatening Rogan, and now, he is bringing up the UFC commentator’s family.

“Some guy, he thought if you just put him in jail, have the violent crimes division come arrest him for a terroristic threat and the whole time, that terroristic threat you thought was a bomb or something inside that box was actually a present back for you and your mothership colleagues for having my wife and me at the mothership,” Liver King shared.
In another video since his arrest, Liver King was seen swinging a mace around while standing on vibration plates.
“There’s one [vibration plate] on each leg. How do you train for a Seth Rogen kind of fight? He’s a very qualified filmmaker. How do you get ready for something like that?
I decided I would go get four vibration plates, and I’ll get on each limb and crawl and hold maces, how can I get really strong wrists? I might get a heavier mace,” he explained.
In a separate post, Johnson asked where Rogan’s family was located:
“If anybody knows where Seth Rogen’s, the other version of him that rhymes with blow, if anyone knows where his family is going to be today, if you could you let my team know so we can stay within 200 yards of them, not close to them. I redact that. Don’t do anything to their family,” he adds.
Between facing multiple lawsuits and life-altering injuries, it hasn’t been an easy road for Liver King lately. In a recently released Netflix documentary, Untold: The Liver King, Johnson opened up on the struggles and immense cost of viral fame.
The investigation into Brian Johnson is ongoing. As it stands, Joe Rogan has yet to issue a formal statement since the threats began. If there are any new developments, Fitness Volt will keep you updated.
