BALTIMORE, Md. (June 17, 2025) – Second-year Morgan State quarterbacks coach Tyrae Reid is set to immerse himself in a concentrated learning environment when he attends the eighth annual Quarterback Coaching Summit on June 18th.
The Summit, along with the fifth annual Ozzie Newsome General Manager Forum (June 17), highlights the NFL’s dedication to promoting diversity and providing opportunities for growth within the sport, particularly through its ongoing partnership with the Black College Football Hall of Fame. These initiatives serve as crucial pathways for aspiring coaches and front office personnel to advance their careers and contribute to the future of football.
The event, which will take place in Atlanta, Georgia, brings together coaches from the Power Five conferences, HBCUs, the NFL, and front office personnel.
Participants will experience professional development and networking opportunities among their peers and can connect with NFL club executives.
“The Quarterback Coaching Summit and Ozzie Newsome General Manager Forum are part of our ongoing efforts to break mobility barriers, establish a cultural norm of opportunity for all, and develop a diverse and inclusive workforce,” said Troy Vincent, Sr., NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations. “We are dedicated to identifying and strengthening the coaching and personnel development pipeline for experienced coaches of color and providing each participant with the tools to hone their craft and achieve success.”

“Thank you to James “Shack” Harris and Doug Williams for the invitation,” he stated. “I am honored to embrace this incredible opportunity at the Black College Hall Of Fame Quarterback Summit & Ozzie Newsome General Manager Forum to learn from great minds, gain new perspectives, and grow as a leader — not just for myself, but for the future of the game.”
